A Spring Cleaning Checklist, One Room at a Time.

Spring is finally here and when I think of spring, I think of opening the windows and getting that fresh air flowing inside my home! I also think of all the spring cleaning I’d love to get done but in reality, it gives me a bit of an overwhelming feeling because there are so many areas I’d love to declutter and clean but I also have a toddler with me 24/7. How do I get over that feeling of stress? I just start small. I go through certain areas of my house, with a list focusing solely on one area.

First make a list that best fits your needs. What area of the house do you want to work on first? Is it the kitchen, the entryway, the bedrooms, the closets, the living room, or the dining room? Whatever room it is, take it one room and one section at a time. Most importantly make a checklist of an order of what you’d like to knock out and finish first.

The best thing about spring cleaning is getting rid of things that are unnecessary and have no reason to be in your home anymore. When I declutter and get rid of things, it’s such a great feeling! Make sure when you’re going through your checklist of each room, you trash all those broken items that are no longer needed in your home. Donate things that you don’t care for anymore, such as clothing you haven’t worn and realistically will never wear again. Or you can even sell your unwanted items on Facebook Marketplace or wherever you prefer to sell.

I made this simple spring cleaning checklist that you can print. You can decide which room or area of the house you’d like to start first. This is my order but remember, you can choose the order that best benefits you. Hope it helps and don’t forget to treat yourself when you are all done!
