About

Hello beautiful angel moms! Each and every one of you are angels because you brought another beautiful angel into this world. Never forget that!

Before I ramble on to something off tangent, let me introduce myself to you… My name is Patricia and I’ve been a stay at home mom for a little over twelve years now. With my loving and hard working husband, we have three beautiful children (two girls and a boy). Their ages are twelve, nine, and almost four.

Prior to having children, I was an elementary school teacher. I completed my bachelor of science degree in education and did part of my masters degree in educational administration. I never got to complete it, which I am hoping to do in the near future.

I basically raised my children on my own with no ongoing help from my parents or in laws because we live far from both of our families. In these almost twelve years of being a mother, I’ve learned so much and was given the greatest lessons of my life. I must admit, being a mother is the hardest job on earth, mentally and physically. But in the end, it’s worth every second because the amount of love you give and receive, will never compare to anything else.

I thought about blogging for quite a long time but what really motivated me to go forward with it was my mother’s sudden death. My mom (my angel mom) had so much to offer in this world and never really got to do the things that expressed her talents and her true compassion. She really loved her family and spent most of her time being a stay at home mom but she could have done so much more with her intelligence, strong character, and vivacious personality. She made a huge difference not only to family and friends, but also to complete strangers with just her philosophy of life.  My mom always motivated me and kept saying I should go back to work when the kids start school. Basically telling me to do something for myself. That’s exactly what I had in mind before being pregnant with my son.

The truth is, I never even planned on having a third child. I found out I was pregnant a few months before my second daughter started kindergarten. Boy was I surprised! I was anxious and happy at the same time. I honestly didn’t know what to feel at that moment. I’ll admit, I was ecstatic when I found out I was having a boy because I really wanted a son. Prior to finding out I was pregnant, my plan was to find a teaching job. I then had two choices; paying for a daycare or staying home with my son. I decided to stay home because of my husband’s inconsistent job schedule. I didn’t have anyone other than him to rely on. What kept me sane was the positive outlook about being home with my children and being as patient as possible.

This is why I believe patience is the key to happiness. I’ve learned to be patient throughout all these years to do what is best for my family and our needs. It really does makes a difference but it also depends on what needs fit best for your family’s situation.  Don’t get me wrong, I love being a mom but when you’ve been a stay at home mom for so many years, you feel somewhat stuck. And this is why I am here writing to all of you. I’m sure you are wondering why I named my page My Angel Mom and it is because of my mom, my angel, who will always inspire me every second of the day. Each time I begin to write, I think of her because she was an extraordinary writer that touched the hearts of everyone she met. I know she would have never wanted me to let go of the things I love and to never give up on anything in life.
I really hope you enjoy reading my blog and it makes you feel that someone is by your side cheering you on in this journey of motherhood. Please keep in mind I am here to listen to you too. As moms, we should support one another to make our days brighter because we all know we need it. Thank you so much for stopping by myangelmom.com.

Looking forward to connecting with all of you!
